Since 1909, the Anna Louise Inn (ALI) has provided safe and affordable housing for single women. It is, and has always been, a safe harbor offering its residents not only a home, but a positive and supportive community to enable their success.
A SAFE HARBOR
Over the years, the needs of the women of Anna Louise Inn (ALI) have shifted. The majority of residents have complex and long-term health conditions (such as mental illness, drug abuse, physical disabilities, or other medical conditions).
Our residents battle various mental and/or physical health issues, substance use disorders, and chronic homelessness, which make these women some of the most vulnerable in our city.
Unfortunately, our residents often have nowhere else to go.
STABLE HOUSING
With 85 single-occupancy apartments, the Anna Louise Inn provides safe and affordable housing to women experiencing chronic homelessness.
Each unit features a full kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. and furniture. All rooms have their own thermostats and intercom systems for comfort and security. Additional amenities include an outdoor garden with pavilion, vending room, coin-operated laundry, lounges, a library, an exercise room, and mere steps to a Metro line.
WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT
The Inn also offers support services to all residents, providing the tools and stability they need for greater self-sufficiency and an improved quality of life.
